Build tailored reports for any entity type, time range, and set of metrics. Export as PDF for presentations or CSV for detailed data analysis.
Custom Reports give you full control over what goes into a report. Rather than using a fixed template, you select the entity type, choose the specific entities to include, pick the metrics to report on, and set the date range. This makes custom reports ideal for one-off analysis, executive presentations, and any scenario where the pre-defined scheduled templates do not cover the exact combination of entities and metrics needed.
Custom reports can be exported as PDF for sharing with management or stakeholders, or as CSV for further analysis in spreadsheet tools. They are generated on demand and are not automatically scheduled, though the same report can be re-run at any time by adjusting the date range and regenerating.
| Field | Description |
| Name | A name for this custom report, used to identify it in the reports list. |
| From and To | The date and time range for which the report will be generated. A custom date range can be selected for any period of historical data. |
| Entity Type | The type of monitored entity to report on. Options include Agents, Nodes, Services, NetFlow, Hyper-V, VMware, Websites, Oracle Instances, PDBs, Tablespaces, and more. |
| Select Entities | The specific entities within the selected type to include in the report. You can select individual devices, all devices, or a filtered subset. |
| Metrics | The performance or availability metrics to include in the report. Available metrics depend on the entity type selected. |
| Report Format | The output format for the report. PDF is suitable for sharing and presentation. CSV is suitable for further analysis in spreadsheet tools. |
Custom reports can be created for the following entity types: Agents (agent-monitored servers and devices), Nodes (network nodes and hosts), Services (network services and port monitors), NetFlow (network traffic flow data), Hyper-V (virtual machines and hosts), VMware (vCenter, ESXi, and virtual machines), Websites (URL monitors), Oracle Instances, Oracle PDBs, Oracle Tablespaces, and MySQL instances. The available metrics in each report are determined by the entity type selected.
