Exporting Data from Cloudmon

How To

Exporting Data from Cloudmon

Export the data on a Cloudmon list page, such as device and IP endpoint details, to a CSV file for easy access and analysis.

Overview

Cloudmon can export the data on its list pages, including comprehensive information about devices and IP endpoints, as a CSV file. The same drop-down in the table toolbar provides the export options on every list page, so the process is the same wherever you export: open the page, open the drop-down, choose an export option, and export. Pages differ only in what else the drop-down offers.

Exporting the Data

Follow these steps on any list page you want to export.

1

Open the Page

Navigate to the Cloudmon page that shows the data you want to export, for example the list of devices or IP endpoints.

2

Open the Export Menu

Open the drop-down in the table toolbar, next to the Search box: Its label shows the current view or filter, such as All or Table View. The menu lists two export options, Export as CSV and Custom Export.

3

Choose an Export Option

Select Export as CSV to export the list to a CSV file. Select Custom Export to choose what the file contains before exporting, then continue with the remaining steps.

4

Customize the List

Custom Export displays a list of everything the page covers, together with its metrics and other information. On a device page, this is every device and its metrics. Adjust the list to match your requirements. You can choose which columns to include, so the file contains only the information you need.

5

Export the Data

Select Export. The data is exported in CSV format, which opens in Excel and other spreadsheet tools for analysis.

What the Drop-Down Offers

The same drop-down appears on list pages throughout Cloudmon, such as Agents, Network Devices, NCM Devices, Wireless Devices, Meraki Organizations, and Open Alarms. Export as CSV and Custom Export are available in it on each of these pages. The rest of the menu depends on the page.

OptionDescription
ViewsSwitches how the list is displayed: Table, List, or Heatmap. The views offered depend on the page. For example, Open Alarms offers Table and List, and Meraki Organizations offers Table only.
Quick filtersSome pages, such as Agents and Network Devices, list groups with item counts, for example All, Active, Windows, or Firewalls. The selected group is shown as the label of the drop-down.
Export as CSVExports the list to a CSV file.
