The Cloudmon agent can be installed on Android devices to monitor mobile endpoints and include them in your Digital Experience Monitoring coverage.
Cloudmon supports agent installation on Android devices, extending monitoring coverage to mobile endpoints such as company-issued smartphones and tablets. Once installed, the Android agent connects to the Cloudmon Controller and appears under Agents alongside all other monitored devices. Mobile agents can be included in monitoring profiles and device groups, and DEM application monitoring can be configured for them in the same way as desktop and laptop agents.
Mobile agent installation instructions for Android are available directly from the Cloudmon Controller. Click the user icon in the top right corner of the Controller, select Help, and navigate to Getting Started → Installation in the left pane. Select the Android installation guide and follow the steps to install and register the agent on the mobile device. Once the installation is complete, the agent is automatically discovered by the Controller.
Mobile agents report device-level metrics to the Cloudmon Controller including availability, resource utilisation, and connectivity data. When configured for DEM, the mobile agent also measures the performance of configured business applications from the device's network connection, providing visibility into application experience from mobile endpoints and remote locations alongside fixed workstations and servers.
