MSP Dashboard

The central hub for managing all your customers in Cloudmon. Add customer organisations, view health status across every account at a glance, and navigate directly into any customer's environment from a single dashboard.

Overview

The MSP Dashboard is the first screen the Super Admin sees after logging into Cloudmon in an MSP deployment. It displays every managed customer as a colour-coded tile showing the total number of monitors and active alarms for that customer. Green tiles indicate a healthy customer environment. Tiles that show active alarms are highlighted to draw attention immediately to customers that need action.

From the dashboard you can add new customers, navigate into any customer's full controller environment, and manage user access at both the MSP and customer level. All customer management flows start here.

Adding a Customer

Navigate to Settings → General Settings → Customers and click the + icon in the top right corner. Fill in the fields as follows:

FieldDescription
Customer NameThe name of the customer organisation as it will appear on the MSP Dashboard tile and throughout the Cloudmon interface.
TagsOptional labels to categorise or group customers for filtering in the dashboard.
WebsiteThe customer's website URL for reference.
IndustryThe customer's industry sector, used for categorisation and reporting context.

Click Save. The customer tile appears on the MSP Dashboard. The customer environment is empty at this point and requires agents and probes to be deployed before monitoring data appears.

Deploying Agents and Probes

After adding a customer, deploy monitoring agents and probes into their environment so Cloudmon can begin collecting data.

To deploy an agent, click the user icon in the top right corner of the Cloudmon controller and select Help. You will be taken to the agent installation article by default. Scroll down or click Getting Started → Installation in the left pane for step-by-step instructions covering Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android. Install the agent on each device you want to monitor in the customer's environment.

To deploy a probe, click the user icon in the top right corner and select Help, then click the Probe tab. Follow the installation steps for Windows or Linux in the Getting Started section. Probes should be deployed in a network location from which they can reach the customer's SNMP and WMI devices.

User Management

Cloudmon MSP supports two levels of user management: MSP level for your own team, and customer level for each client's IT staff.

To manage users at the MSP level, navigate to Settings → General Settings → User Management from the MSP Dashboard. This is where you create roles and accounts for your own team members who need access to multiple customers.

To manage users within a specific customer, click the customer tile on the MSP Dashboard to enter that customer's controller view, then navigate to Settings → General Settings → User Management. User accounts created here are scoped to that customer's environment and will only see that customer's devices and data. Refer to User Management for full details on creating roles and accounts.

Troubleshooting

IssueWhat to check
Customer tile not appearing on the MSP Dashboard after being addedRefresh the MSP Dashboard page. If the tile still does not appear, confirm the customer was saved correctly by navigating to Settings → General Settings → Customers and verifying it appears in the customer list.
Customer tile shows no monitor count or shows 0No monitors have been added to that customer's environment yet. Click the tile to enter the customer's controller view and begin deploying agents, probes, or SNMP devices to start monitoring.
A team member cannot see certain customer tiles on the MSP DashboardCustomer visibility is controlled by the Customers field in the user account settings. Navigate to Settings → General Settings → User Management → User Accounts, open that user's account, and verify the correct customers are selected. Only the Super Admin sees all customers by default.
