First Login and Setting a New Password
When a new user account is created, Cloudmon sends the user an email containing a temporary password. On first login, the user must set a new permanent password before they can access the controller. To do this, enter the temporary password on the login screen, and a prompt will appear to enter and confirm a new password. Click Save to complete the process.
Changing Your Password
- Click your user profile icon in the top right corner of the Cloudmon controller.
- Select Edit Profile.
- Click Change Password.
- Enter your current password, your new password, and confirm the new password.
- Click Save.
Forgot Password
- On the Cloudmon login screen, click the Forgot password? link below the password field.
- Enter your registered email address.
- Check your email for a password reset link from Cloudmon.
- Click the link in the email and enter a new password.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Overview
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds a verification step to the login process. MFA is configured per user account from the user's own profile and supports two methods: an OTP authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) or an email OTP sent to the user's registered email address.
Enabling MFA
- Click your user profile icon in the top right corner and select Edit Profile.
- Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Click Setup Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Choose either OTP Authenticator App or Email OTP.
Method 1: OTP Authenticator App
- Select OTP Authenticator App and click Setup.
- Scan the QR code displayed in Cloudmon using your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit verification code generated by the app.
- Click Verify and then Save.
Method 2: Email OTP
- Select Email OTP.
- Click Save.
A one-time password will be sent to your registered email address each time you log in to Cloudmon. Enter the code to complete the login.
