Scheduled Reports

Schedule pre-defined report templates to generate automatically at a chosen frequency and deliver results by email to selected recipients. No manual action required once configured.

Overview

Scheduled Reports in Cloudmon allow IT administrators to automate the generation and delivery of performance, availability, and operational reports. Once configured, a scheduled report runs at the specified frequency and sends the output by email to the selected recipients without any manual intervention. Reports are based on pre-defined templates covering the most common reporting needs across servers, networks, cloud, and more. Generated reports can be downloaded in PDF format for sharing and presentations, or CSV format for further analysis in spreadsheet tools.

Creating a Scheduled Report

  1. Navigate to Reports in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click the Schedule Report button.
  3. Fill in the required fields as described in the table below.
  4. Click Save. The report will run automatically at the configured frequency and send the output to the specified recipients.
FieldDescription
NameA descriptive name for this scheduled report, such as "Weekly Server Availability" or "Monthly SLA Report".
TemplateThe pre-defined report template to use. See the Available Templates section below for the full list. Use the search box to find templates by keyword such as "availability", "SLA", or "ncm".
FrequencyHow often the report runs. Options are Daily, Weekly, and Monthly.
Notify ToThe users or user groups who will receive the generated report by email at each scheduled run. Select from the list of Cloudmon users already configured in the system. Multiple recipients can be added to ensure the right stakeholders receive each report automatically.

Availability Reports

Availability Reports provide insights into the uptime and downtime of monitored entities over the report period. They cover devices monitored via agents, SNMP network devices, network nodes and services, and synthetic monitors. Reports include availability percentage, downtime duration, and response time metrics. Use the following templates for availability reporting:

  • Device Availability Report: uptime and downtime metrics for all monitored devices.
  • Network Device Availability Report: uptime and reachability for all SNMP-monitored network devices.
  • Application Availability Report: DEM application availability, Apdex scores, and processing times.

Search for "availability" in the template search box to find these templates.

SLA Reports

SLA Reports measure the availability and performance of monitored services against defined service level targets over a selected time period. They provide an objective record of whether service level commitments have been met, useful for management reporting, customer-facing documentation in MSP environments, and compliance auditing.

Select the SLA Report template and set the frequency to Monthly for standard SLA reporting cycles. For MSP deployments, configure the SLA report from within each customer's controller view to scope it to that customer's devices only.

Capacity Planning Reports

Capacity Planning Reports analyse historical resource usage trends across monitored servers and devices, helping IT teams understand how quickly resources are being consumed and when additional capacity will be needed. By reviewing CPU, memory, disk, and network utilisation trends over time, teams can make evidence-based decisions before performance degrades.

Select the Capacity Planning Report template. These reports are most useful when scheduled monthly to give a meaningful trend view over time.

Forecasting Reports

Forecasting Reports use historical data patterns from monitored devices to project future resource utilisation trends, allowing IT teams to anticipate when a server will run out of disk space, when a link will saturate, or when additional compute will be required. Forecasting is most accurate when at least 30 days of historical monitoring data is available.

Select the Forecasting Report template. Schedule monthly alongside the Capacity Planning Report to give management both a historical view and a forward-looking projection.
