Slack

Send Cloudmon alarm notifications directly to any Slack channel using an incoming webhook URL. Once configured, alarms can be forwarded to Slack automatically when they fire.

Overview

The Slack integration uses an incoming webhook URL to post alarm notifications to a specified Slack channel. When an alarm trigger fires in Cloudmon and the Slack service is selected in the alarm rule, Cloudmon sends a message to the configured channel automatically. Multiple Slack channels can be added, allowing different alarms to route to different channels or workspaces.

Step 1: Get the Incoming Webhook URL from Slack

  1. Sign in to your Slack workspace if you are not already logged in.
  2. Choose the channel to which you want to add an incoming webhook. You can use an existing channel or create a new one.
  3. Click on the channel name in the left navigation bar to open the channel.
  4. Click on the channel name at the top left of your Slack interface.
