Control which IP addresses and networks are permitted to access the Cloudmon controller. IP restrictions prevent unauthorised access from addresses outside your approved list.
IP Restrictions in Cloudmon allow administrators to define an allowlist of IP addresses, IP ranges, or network blocks that are permitted to access the controller. Any login attempt from an IP address not on the allowlist will be denied. This is particularly useful for organisations that want to ensure Cloudmon can only be accessed from within their corporate network or from specific trusted locations such as a VPN exit point or a management workstation.
| Field | Description |
| Name | A descriptive name for this allowed IP entry, such as "HQ Office" or "VPN Exit Node". |
| Type | The type of IP entry. Options are Current IP (auto-fills your current IP address), Single IP, IP Range, or Network (CIDR notation). |
| IP Address | The IP address, range, or network to allow based on the selected type. For example, a single IP such as 203.0.113.10, a range such as 203.0.113.1-203.0.113.50, or a network such as 192.168.1.0/24. |
Important: Always ensure your current IP address is included in the allowlist before saving IP restrictions. Locking yourself out by excluding your own IP will prevent you from logging back in to make corrections.
